Programming for youth ages 13-18 years of age

Our Guelph Unitarian community offers many potential opportunities to our teens!  We have a bi-monthly youth group meeting, opportunities to play instruments for services, service lead, social justice work trip opportunities, mentorships and work opportunities currently in childcare and in janitorial.

Saturday October 29th 7-9pm: Youth FRIGHT night!!!!!! WOOOOAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH (scary voice)

• Join Host's Mel and Aaryn at Strom's farm as we take on the maze (bring flash lights) and play some games including manhunt in the dark!!!!!!
• Dress warm
• Please arrive on time so we have the full 2 hours for games and fun

• The cost is $7.00, as mentioned we have a small fund as needed to ensure that if you are hoping to be involved, that cost doesn't get in the way

Chocolate Making fun'raiser.  Join us for an evening of creativity and fun (no experience necessary) as we create fabulous chocolate treats and hone our skill of chocolate making!  More Details coming soon!

Sunday Dec 11th: A special invitation from Mel (ME!!!!) to come and be a part of the musical team for the mornings service.  I will be speaking on an e-principles program that will be running for the month of January.  Essentially, this is a spiritual development opportunity to take the challenge and receive daily meditations, stories and challenges to live the principles in real and meaningful ways.  Ideally we would meet for a potluck dinner the beginning of february and talk about how/if the e-principles program changed the way we lived daily life.  Please email me if you are interested in being a part of the musical team for that morning, it would be awesome to have the music entirely done by youth!!!! 
 

January Events

Sunday January 15th: 6:30-8:30pm: Band practice!!  All welcome, bring your instruments, voices and songs!!!  Man hunt and group games, snack  to follow!!!!

February Events

February 5th: 6:30-830pm: Band practice and organizing pride, our feb 19th youth service, snacks and talking about equality

Thurs Feb 16th 6-8:30pm: Youth fundraiser for mid-Winter gathering!!!!

Sunday Feb 19th: Band practice 9:45am, for service at 10:30am

Sunday March 11th: 6:30-8:30pm: Band practice and creating art using emotion

Sunday April 22nd: 3:30-8:00pm Child Haven International Dinner and Fundraiser

Sunday April 29th: 6:30-8:30pm: Band practice and prep for Teen Pride Night!!!

May Events

Friday May 11th: Teen Pride night: Coffee hour, talent show, $50.00 dollar prize draw for all who enter talent show, snacks, food, music, house band, and dress up with a costume from the future.  Prizes for costumes!!!! 7:30pm at UCG

Friday May 25th-26th: Sleep over and canoe trip near Guelph!!!!!  More info coming soon!!

June Events

Unicamp weekend: Friday June 1st- June 3rd.  This is a multi youth group event!!!!!!
