About Susanna Suchak

Bio:

Susanna Suchak is an Adult Educator and Creativity Coach, working as a supply ESL teacher with the Thames Valley District School Board. One of her greatest joys is helping people find courage and inspiration to bring delight and wonder into their lives. As a seeker and lover of learning she has found all creation to be her teacher.

She believes in experiential learning and believes that to deny ourselves the opportunity to bring forth some thing from the work of our hands often leads to soul fragmentation or dis-ease (spiritual, mental and body). Having experienced through her students the Truth of seeing people discover their creative selves she often leads workshops in creativity to spur more people on to the delight of self-discovery.

Her lineage is Irish, Mohawk, and Norman. All of her ancestors have lived in North America for at least 400 years. Her "blood memory" has taught her that she belongs to the land and she is only one part of all creation. This "knowledge" also informs her that she needs and is needed by all the other parts of creation -- that we are all a necessary part of the "Web of Life".

Although she has not professed the 7 tenets of Unitarian Universalism, her personal experience of this faith practice is one of acceptance and tolerance of divergent views. Her own faith practice is strongly influenced by practices as diverse as Longhouse, Buddhism and Christianity (both Celtic and Roman) so she feels she fits right in here. Thank you for embracing her as one of your own.

Namaste.
